Meet & Grief Brunch | Melbourne, VIC
July 13, 2025
A relaxed and private lunch where grief is welcome, nothing’s off limits, and connection comes naturally.
We are so excited for our 2025 annual pre Mother’s Day High Tea events! Every year they get bigger and better and we see so many women come along and access such unique support that is hard to come by elsewhere.
High tea in our second year grew to a wonderful audience of 40 guests. Our guest speaker spoke to her experience of losing her mum to domestic violence in a truly connecting and emotional day.
Given the shifting nature of the current climate in Australia, we have postponed in-person events until further notice. You can follow us on Facebook and Instagram for any updates or online events.
Motherless Daughters Australia currently run pre Mother’s Day High Tea in 4 cities (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra) with a view to expand to remaining states as soon as viable.
The High Tea events are always held on the first day of Mother Loss Awareness Week to kick it off. Mother Loss Awareness Week runs every year during the week leading up to Mother’s Day – dates always change.
The purpose of the High Tea events are to connect and unite women in the difficult lead up to Mother’s Day with a view to enable newfound friendships and support networks. Attendance numbers have grown phenomenally each year.
Additionally, we also run Catch Up Dinners – more intimate events with a cap of 20 women only. So far, they run in Melbourne and Sydney with a view to expand. We hope to run these once every couple of months for the remainder of the year after May 2022.
We are also working on a range of other events for 2022, so follow us on social media to keep updated, or join our mailing list at the bottom of the page.
